“Lime Green & Hot Pink”

Lime green and hot pink were the bride’s choices for her special day.  The vibrant colors were perfectly paired to make the most picturesque moments to be frozen in time by yours truly. The details, so vivid, quickly caught the eye of any passer-by and lured them in for a taste of the matching goodies. The bride was breathtaking as she walked down the aisle with her flawless updo that was so delicately covered with a flowing white veil.

September 2011 Special

September is a very special month for Greg and I as it is an anniversary not only for us but for our business. It’s the month of both our birthdays as well as several of our family members’ birthdays. September is also the beginning of fall; my personal favorite season. I love the cozy feel of the cool evenings where there’s just enough chill in the air to put on that favorite pair of sweats and curl up. Morning coffee on the patio always tastes a little better when drank in the cool autumn air.

The biggest event in September for us this year is the celebration of Greg’s parents’ 50th wedding anniversary. Greg and I took recent pictures for them to record the occasion. We did some fun ones as well, which you can see below. I especially love the Diet Coke photo…I think it would make a cute advertisement :)

So this year, to celebrate the wonderful month of September, and to not only show our appreciation to our clients but to also invite new clients into our Fifth Avenue Family, we are offering the following special:

20% off any Creative Design Package (good for any portrait session) AND the following prints will be included:

1-8×10

2-5×7′s

16 wallets

Happy September Everyone!

Enjoying a Diet Coke

Arsenol

Greg & I did photos for a local girl’s softball team last month…boy was it hot out! I was melting by the end of the shoot and told Greg, “Those poor girls have to practice in this heat after our shoot.” That’s dedication! We definetly had fun, to spite the heat, as did the girls. One of them asked if we could take more pictures…too cute! Thank you again Arsenol for choosing us to capture your team’s unique spirit!

Cady

We had a great shoot in Durango two Saturdays ago – I’m behind on my blogging as usual :) It was nice to get away from the usual places in our area and take advantage of the beautiful scenary that Colorado has to offer.

“Bella”

Greg & I had a children’s photo shoot this past weekend with the most adorable little girl who had just turned one and her grandma wanted to have pictures done. We haven’t had any child shoots recently so I was excited because I was getting to use my pink chair prop for the first time. And JUST the chair wasn’t quite enough to get the look I wanted… so I used it as an excuse to buy new props.  :)

Brandi, nickname Bella, loved the pink chair! As you can see from the pictures, she was a very happy little girl.

Isn’t she precious?!

The Last of 2011 Seniors

So here it is, our very last senior shoot from the graduating class of 2011. Once again, Greg & I had the pleasure of capturing this very exciting and special time for one of our community’s seniors…Thank you to Leah & her son Luke! We also want to say ”Thank You” to all the terrific seniors that we photographed this year and wish them all good luck!

Winding Down…

Senior pics season is winding down and it will soon be time for summer. Greg and I have been crazy busy with senior shoots, craming in editing time so that pictures go out with graduation announcements. I absolutely love this time of year because starting from about March and running through May it’s back to back excitement: spring break…prom…graduation…new beginnings and best of all – WARM WEATHER! Typically March being the windy month, I thought we were safe going into April but apparently I was wrong because April has had(at least when we have shoots) more wind than I anticipated. Greg and I had to work around Mother Nature’s little mood swing for these three shoots and even ended up rescheduling one of them. And thank goodness we did because by the afternoon, the sky was brown and filled with dirt. Not attractive for pictures and not good for the cameras. So here are some of our favorite images from our last couple of senior shoots…good luck girls and thank you for letting us capture this special time in your lives!

Badlands

I absolutely love this place!!!!! It was my client’s idea to go here because her son wanted something different for his senior pictures. Well, needless to say it was an excellent choice…the pictures turned out great! And for once, the weather was actually cooperating with us…the sky was a beautiful blue, no wind, and it was warm. After we were done shooting the client’s pics, Greg & I stayed to take some photos of the landscape (I’ll post them at a later date) and scope out the entire area. I probably could have stayed there all day :)

Jana

This past Sunday we had an early morning senior shoot with Jana. The weather wasn’t the best (we had to reschedule our afternoon shoot) but we worked with what we had. She brought with her the most beautiful prom dress I’ve ever seen! The blue in this dress made for the best images and the umbrella props Greg & I picked up were the perfect added touch. Anyone who follows my blog knows that senior shoots are my absolute favorite! The girls are especially fun because they get all “dolled up” and just glow for the camera…I’ve had some guys who really like to “ham it up” for the camera as well ;)

Greg & I are suppose to have another senior shoot tomorrow if the wind doesn’t spoil it for us. We’re shooting in a new location at the request of our client so I am very excited! Cross you’re fingers…
